Professional removal is useful when storage fees are continuing for unwanted items, furniture is bulky, the unit needs to be closed, or the cleanout is part of a move or downsizing plan. It is also useful when the storage unit contains mixed household junk that would require many vehicle trips.
Use the storage cleanout to end the storage problem, not move it. Keep what has a home, remove what does not, and send enough scope detail for the pickup to be planned properly.
